Amber King

Amber King is a fourth-year Forensic Psychology student at Florida Institute of Technology. Her research repertoire consists of topics surrounding operational organizational psychology, sexual offence prevention, and violence against women and girls. More specifically, her interests lie in understanding how leadership psychology, team dynamics, and interoperability shape outcomes in policing contexts. Her studies investigate how emergency responders coordinate across agencies, how officers make decisions under pressure, and how leadership and training influence operational effectiveness. Drawing from both forensic and industrial-organizational psychology, Amber aims to bridge psychological theory with real-world application. Actively engaged in undergraduate research, she collaborates with Dr. Brandon May and international police networks to drive impactful change.
